Multnomah Falls

One of the many waterfalls you can see along the Columbia River Gorge Scenic Byway. Multnomah Falls is the 5th largest waterfall in America, but it's the largest waterfall I've seen!
My wife and I were taking pictures of all of the beautiful Fall colors nearby our house and we were just about to leave when my wife saw this at the last second.

Fall trails in the Northwest

This was my first time to be in the northwest during the Fall. I've never been somewhere where there is so much color during the Fall. I think I found some beautiful places to photograph.
I was out walking around on my grandmother's farm one night taking pictures of various things. My grandmother has several cats on her farm that just show up from who knows where, most stay, some go. This cat is one the "regulars" that decided to stay. It was minding its' own business and attempting to take a little cat nap until it saw me. She just started walking up to me getting closer and closer, so I thought I should take a few pictures of her. She wouldn't leave my side the rest of the night!

I live about 20 minutes from town, so a lot of times that's a big inconvenience for me. However, it's days like these that make for great pictures! Both of these pictures were taken within 1 mile from my house.

Multnomah Falls trail

Trail near Multnomah Falls (Oregon)

Pumpkin patch with Mt. Hood in background

Some friends of mine invited my wife and I to go with them to pick out a pumpkin or two at a local "you-pick" pumpkin patch farm, several miles from my house. I was a little reluctant to go that far just to get a pumpkin, but I thought it might make for some good photos of my friends. I was just walking around looking for a good pumpkin to pick, and looking for photo opportunities to take pictures of my friends, when I looked up and saw this. I'm glad I went now! Thanks for inviting me guys!

Frog; Crane in sunset

(Bottom) I was walking down a nature trail in a nearby wildlife refuge looking for something to take a picture of and heard something rustling in the grass as I walked by. I immediately stopped and put the camera to my eye and began searching for the source of the noise. I couldn't see anything at first, but then I saw what looked like a snake's head. I began photographing immediately, and getting closer and closer to my subject. After observing the "snake" for a little while longer, I realized that it was actually a frog! I was about 6-7 feet away from it and didn't think I would be able to get any closer, but after much patience and careful walking I was able to get within about 1 foot from this frog and I was able to catch one of my best photos ever!
